Ron Santo Death

Ron Santo was a great baseball player, his death is tragic and is a great loss to his fans and loved ones.
Ron Santo only got 39 votes when he needed 48 to get entrance into the Hall of Fame almost two years ago to the date. You need 75 percent of the vot to get into the Hall of Fame. Ron Santo was a third baseman who won five golden gloves for fielding exellence. He played most of his career for the Chicago Cubs, then played his last year for the White Sox. He had his number 10 retired.
The veterans commitee did select one candidate for entrance that year. Joe Gordon, a nine-time All-Star second baseman for the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians, was the only player elected in 08′. Also unknown to many was the fact he had diabetes while playing in the league.
Ron was adamant that he did not want a posthumous induction into the hall of fame.
